February 13th is Vasant Pancami, the first day of Spring. To celebrate it, we invite all SMIS poets to take part in a poetry writing competition.
The guidelines are as follows:
Write a poem with the title “Yellow.”
It can be any length and any style.
All poems must be based on the topic ‘yellow.’
Think: what image does the word yellow create in your mind?
What emotion does it make you feel?  You may like to relate it to the occasion of Vasant Pancami, but this is not required.
There will be 4 age categories:
a) Grades 5 and 6
b) Grades 7, 8 and 9
c) High school
d) Teachers, Assistants, Staff
There will be first, second and third prizes in each category.
The judges are to be confirmed.
Please submit your entries to Prabhupada Priya mataji, Gunacuda mataji (for Grades 5 and 6) or Manasi Ganga mataji by February 10th 2016.
