The devotional strand is the foundation of education at SMIS, as it is our core mission to provide a devotional education to every child that attends the school. Every child therefore has the opportunity to learn the following subjects, beginning from Year 1.

• Vaisnava culture and philosophy
• Bhajans and harmonium
• Mrdanga drum

In the higher grades, students can also study a selection of subjects from the following:

• Deity worship
• Sanskrit
• Vedic mantra chanting
