Thanks to our GBCs! - we'll have a better playgroud

Haribol and many thanks to the GBC who have been magnanimous and kept their word to the students of SMIS to contribute to the playground at Mayapur.Thanks to Badrinarayan prabhu and Anuttama prabhu who relentlessly followed it up and made it happen,to Kavichandra Maharaj who came up with a big part of the donation and also Pragosgh prabhu ,Bhakti Caru Maharaj and Guruprasad swami who were the first ones to come forward with their donations.All glories to the GBC Body and all Glories to Srila Prabhupad.

Sri Mayapur International School Celebrates World Holy Name

Seventy  primary school students from Sri Mayapur International School organized and participated in a Hari Nama sankirtan procession on Thursday 15th September in Sri Mayapur Dham. The students, aged from 3 to 11 years old, wanted to take part in World Holy Name week. The kirtan was lead by children from each class and they also played mridanga and kartals to accompany the lively chanting. Sri Mayapur International School is proud to announce the results of the May/June 2011 Cambridge International Examination. Six of our students have successfully accomplished their High School AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) diploma with outstanding results.

They are: Manjulali devi dasi, Prahlad das Griffith and Nadia Kishori Mani devi dasi who obtained diploma with distinction.

Govinda das Thompson, Balaram das Jeppesen and Shyam Bihari das obtained diploma with merit.

SMIS Teenage Preachers Charm Kolkata

Seven high school students and three teachers from Sri Mayapur International School left early last Friday morning on an exciting educational excursion to visit the Bhaktivedanta Research Library in Kolkata.   This trip, which was an award to our senior girls who have been outstanding in their personal sadhana this term, turned out to be an amazing preaching experience which left all who participated in it feeling more spiritually exhilarated than  they had ever imagined.

Urgently needed - ESL Teacher

SMIS requires an additional  full time ESL (English as Second Language) teacher to meet the needs of the growing number of ESL students being admitted this academic year for girls from  grades  7-10 (ages 11-16). playgroup starts at SMIS

 Playgroup meets in the Makhancora (Nursery) classroom at Sri Mayapur International School . There are 2 sessions a week, each lasting for an hour and a half: 

Govardhan Puja at SMIS!

 The Primary School students Of Sri Mayapur International School spent a happy afternoon recently celebrating the festival of Govardhan Puja. Bhajans and kirtan were expertly led by girls from grades 7 and 8 .This was followed by the offering of bhoga prepared by students and parents. The festival was blessed by Sri Giriraj. After the arati and circumambulating Govardhan hill the students and parents enjoyed the delicious mahaprasad.
